11 лютого 2020 року відбувся захист дисертації Любові Пошивайло на тему«Лагранжеве моделювання водяної пари в стратосфері: вплив крупномасштабної атмосферної циркуляції та дрібномасштабних транспортних процесів» (LagrangianSimulationofStratosphericWaterVapour: ImpactofLarge-ScaleCirculationandSmall-ScaleTransportProcesses).

Загальна циркуляція атмосфери контролює склад повітря верхньої тропосфери та нижньої стратосфери (близько 10-18 км від поверхні Землі). У свою чергу складові повітря цієї зони мають значний вплив на клімат. Зокрема, водяна пара, що знаходиться у верхній тропосфері та нижній стратосфері, має критичний вплив на глобальну радіацію Землі та кліматичні процеси. Тому точне представлення водяної пари в сучасних кліматичних моделях є досить важливими для реалістичних прогнозів змін клімату.

Другий апеляційний адміністративний суд у Харкові постановою від 15 жовтня 2020 року визнав протиправним та скасував рішення Опішнянської селищної ради
про перейменування вулиці Явдохи та Гаврила Пошивайлів.
Постанова набрала законної сили з дати її прийняття.
Рішенням п′ятої сесії сьомого скликання Опішнянської селищної ради від 13 березня 2019 року вулицю Явдохи та Гаврила Пошивайлів у смт Опішні Полтавської області було перейменовано на вулицю Свято-Михайлівську. Таким чином депутати, які всюди розказують, немовби розвивають у селищі туризм, незаконно прибрали з мапи Гончарної столиці України імена видатних достойників, які є представниками однієї з найдавніших в Україні гончарських династій і зробили визначальний внесок у перетворення селища в туристичний і музейний центр країни. Вони були засновниками першого в Україні приватного музею кераміки та ідеологами розбудови в селищі Національного музею гончарства. На цій вулиці вони мешкали, а в їхньому будинку 1999 року було створено Меморіальний музей-садибу гончарської родини Пошивайлів.

6 березня 2020 року виповнюється 110 років від дня народження Явдохи Пошивайло - провідної української народної малювальниці ХХ століття, фундаторки першого в Україні приватного музею гончарства.
«Я хочу сказати про наше прекрасне Опішне. В нас у Опішньому золоті майстри, гончарі, кравці, в нас на весь світ усі люди. Наше Опішне славилося завжди садками, людьми робочими, талантами…» Ці слова належать опішненській гончарці-малювальниці Явдосі Пошивайло.
Народилася майстриня в Опішному Зіньківського повіту Полтавської губернії в багатодітній селянській родині Данила та Ганни Бородавок. Доля з раннього віку приготувала їй тяжкі випробування. У шість років залишилася сиротою. Згодом пригадувала: « Я осталась сиротою. Батьків я не знаю: люди забрали і в людей я росла, і вчилась малювати. Тоді я вивчилась і пішла по кустарях…». З 10 років вчилася малювати в майстерні відомого опішненського скульптора Федота Пругла, у майстернях Сергія Горілея, Омеляна Ковпака та інших заможних гончарів. Її вчителями були талановиті малювальниці Марія Пругло, Марія Кришталь, Варвара Матвієнко (Каленич), Марія Городнича. Про своїх наставників вона завжди згадувала з теплотою. В 19-річному віці вийшла заміж за потомственного гончаря Гаврила Пошивайла (1909–1991) – представника однієї з найдавніших гончарських династій України, відомої з середини XVIII століття. Це був один із найбільш відомих творчих тандемів української народної кераміки другої половини ХХ століття.

Національний музей-заповідник українського гончарства в Опішному повідомляє, що, у зв’язку з проведенням заходів, присвячених 110-й річниці від Дня народження гончарки, малювальниці Явдохи Пошивайло та 90-ї річниці від Дня народження опішненського гончаря, заслуженого майстра народної творчості України Миколи Пошивайла, з 06.03.2020 р. до 08.03.2020 р. та з 27.05.2020 р. до 31.05.2020 р. будуть проходити акції «Відвідай музей – отримай авторський подарунок». Відвідувачі музею-садиби отримають в подарунок глиняний свистунець, виготовлений сином Явдохи та Гаврила Пошивайлів – Віктором Пошивайлом.
Акції діють за умови придбання вхідного квитка в Меморіальному музеї-садибі гончарської родини Пошивайлів.
