Чимало знанихмайстрів творили велич опішненської кераміки. І нині вона знана у світі. Свою лепту в її розвиток вніс і талановитий мистець Юрко Пошивайло (1968 р.н.). Мистецькі вподобання його досить широкі: гончар, художник, фотохудожник. Найбільше проявив себе у видавничій діяльності. Нині – головний художник Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному.
Потяг до глини жив у серці Юрка завжди. Спостерігаючи за роботою дідуся Гаврила та батька Миколи, не залишився байдужим до цього магічного матеріалу. Ліпити почав ще в дитинстві. В експозиції Меморіального музею-садиби гончарської родини Пошивайлів зберігаються його скульптури «Баранчик», «Чоловік», композиція «Бій півників», декоративна посудина «Тиква».
Нині захоплюється виготовленням «монетки» – мініатюрного простого і мальованого посуду.
«Монетка» мені завжди подобалася, бо в ній втілилися заповіти мого дідуся-гончаря. Хай живе канон! Слава гончарству!», – так заявив Юрко Пошивайло, учасник Першої та Другої національної виставки-конкурсу художньої кераміки «КерамПІК у Опішному!».
За традицією опішненських гончарів, створені Юрком Пошивайлом твори допомагає малювати його дружина Світлана. Тож можна впевнено сказати – гончарний дует Гаврила та Явдохи Пошивайлів відроджується в онуках.
