10 років поспіль студенти Харківської державної академії культури проходять творчу практику в Опішному – гончарній столиці України. Чому вибрали саме Опішне? Це не випадковість. На думку доцента кафедри культурології Любові Григорівни Тишевської та доцента кафедри культурології, кандидата педагогічних наук Тетяни Валентинівни Босенко, саме в Опішному збережено народні традиції, україномовне населення, велика кількість екскурсійних маршрутів, тому тут найкраще і найповніше, а головне результативно, виконується етнологічна програма практики для студентів ІІ курсу.
Цього року етнологічна практика другокурсників припала на час проведення ІІ Тижня Національного Гончарного Здвиження «Здвиг-2010» та IV Міжнародного молодіжного фестивалю «Опішне-2010». Студенти мали можливість не тільки відвідувати, а й брати безпосередню участь у численних творчих заходах, спілкуватися з учасниками та гостями, які приїхали до Опішного з багатьох куточків України та зарубіжжя.
Незабутні враження залишилися після відвідування Меморіального музею-садиби гончарської родини Пошивайлів. Студенти дізналися про історію створення першого приватного музею кераміки в Україні, ознайомилися з життєвим і творчим шляхом славетного гончарного подружжя Гаврила та Явдохи Пошивайлів, творчістю їхнього сина Миколи Пошивайла, оглянули експозиції посуду, композиції, колекцію рушників, картин та ікон, дбайливо зібраних засновницею домашнього музею Явдохою Пошивайло.
Зацікавила студентів і книжкова експозиція, на якій представлені найкращі книги видавництва «Українське Народознавство». Найбільшу увагу привернула книга листівок та набір листівок «Народна кераміка Гаврила та Явдохи Пошивайлів».
