26 червня 2014 року в рамках VI Тижня Національного Гончарного Здвиження в Опішному «Здвиг-2014» в Музеї мистецької родини Кричевських відбулася урочиста Церемонія відкриття меморіальних дощок Івану Гладиревському, Осипу Білоскурському, Гаврилу та Явдосі Пошивайлам – подвижникам, яким сьогодні завдячуємо багатою гончарною спадщиною.
Знаний у світах гончарний дует Гаврило та Явдоха Пошивайли – зачинателі музейної справи в Опішному. Саме вони в 1970-х роках у своїй оселі відкрили перший приватний музей кераміки, який функціонує й нині як структурний підрозділ Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному. Не заростає стежка до святої хати Пошивайлів, їх пам’ятають. Допоки живе пам’ять людська, і вони житимуть вічно.
Образи Гаврила та Явдохи Пошивайлів, втілені в металі меморіальних дощок, уособлюють сотні, тисячі відомих і маловідомих опішненських гончарів та малювальниць, які своє життя, працю, талант сповна віддали на вівтар служіння гончарству. Тож не дивно, що ця урочиста подія зібрала в Опішному нащадків великого й славного роду Пошивайлів – синів, онуків, правнуків – продовжувачів гончарного ремесла та подвижників музейної справи, а також усіх, кому близька доля опішненського гончарства.
