Час стрімко летить, і ось уже 82 весна шумить і буяє зеленню та цвітінням садів, наповнює повітря ароматами черемхи та бузку. Саме в таку пору відзначає свій день народження Микола Пошивайло – знаний в Україні народний майстер, художник, гончар. З юних літ і до поважного віку він не зраджує родинному ремеслу – гончарству.
Всім, хто відвідує Національний музей-заповідник українського гончарства в Опішному, він дарує радість спілкування з глиною. Із великим захопленням відвідувачі музею спостерігають, як зі сірої грудки глини під вправними руками Майстра на гончарному крузі народжуються диво-вироби, а за хвилину-дві горщечок перетворюється в глечик, глечик – в макітерку. З посмішкою, добротою й щирістю запрошує: «Доторкніться до глека, не бійтеся, відчуйте дотик глини». І вишиковується чимала черга, ніхто не залишається байдужим. Дорослі й діти невимушено й легко простягають руки до глини, аби хоч раз у житті відчути чаклунство й тайнодійство за гончарним кругом. Умілі руки майстра допомагають кожному створити свій «шедевр».
