Школа «Паросток» (м. Полтава) для вивчення українознавства облюбувала Опішне як туристичний центр з його численними екскурсійними маршрутами. Тут є можливість познайомитися не тільки з прадавнім гончарським ремеслом, а й предметами традиційного побуту гончарів, відчути атмосферу старовини.
Керівник групи в Книзі відгуків Меморіального музею-садиби гончарської родини Пошивайлів зазначила: «Команда учнів 5-8 класів зі школи «Паросток» мала нагоду познайомитися із українським побутом ХІХ–ХХ століття. Мали за мету побачити речі побуту, уявити, як жили українці попередніх поколінь. Вражає гостинність і затишок цієї оселі. Раді, що поблизу Полтави є такий хороший музейний комплекс, де дбайливо збережено історію нашого народу, де можна уявити життя наших попередників».
