14 березня 2019 року (цього дня православні відзначають свято преподобної Євдокії, у народі його називають Явдохи) в Меморіальному музеї-садибі гончарської родини Пошивайлів відбулася щорічна зустріч «на Явдохи» колишніх працівників керамічних заводів.
Цього року до нас завітали Михайленко Олександр із дружиною Світланою та Микитенко Тетяна. Гості поділилися теплими спогадами про гончарське подружжя Гаврила та Явдохи Пошивайлів, про свою роботу в заводі «Художній керамік», оглянули експозиції, фільми «Незабутні», «Дивотворці».
Олександр Михайленко пригадав: «Мій дід возив підводою гончарну глину, батько багато годів робив у заводі пальщиком, цю «науку» передав мені, і я випалював. Це було важко, палили дровами, треба слідити за випалом, були в горні такі «дучки», закладені кирпичем, оце кирпичину винімали і прикріпляли кусочок сирого, є посуда, шо поб’ється вже, і ото ми з нього і прикріпляли коло каждої дучки в кругову. Потом одкриваєш кирпичину і дивишся: там красніше, там чорніше. Вона должна аж біла буть, як випалилось. Це треба добре знать цю науку. Працював у промкомбінаті «Керамік» недовго, там познайомився з Гаврилом і Явдохою Пошивайлами, доводилось випалювати їх іграшку і посуд. Був у них часто дома. Сьогодні подивився про них фільм і наче живих їх побачив. Музей гарний, це пам’ять гончарів».
Тетяна Микитенко розповіла: «Я прийшла на завод молодою, там працював мій батько. Закінчила Миргородський керамічний технікум, працювала лаборантом, робота подобалась, гарний колектив. Продукцію нашу возили на продаж по всьому світу, тепер жалко, що заводи занепали, роботи не стало в Опішні. Добре хоч є музей, де збережена кераміка, і приєзжим є, на що подивитись…».
Гості пригощалися смаколиками й духмяним чаєм, атмосфера зустрічі була невимушена, кожен з учасників зустрічі поділився своїми враженнями про опішненське гончарство.
