Літо, червень, Опішне, Музей гончарства... Усі ці слова асоціюються з проведенням у столиці українського гончарства низки творчих проектів і заходів, серед яких – «Е-літня АКАДЕМІЯ ГОНЧАРства для харизматиків, романтиків, диваків і діячів». Цього року проходить уже восьма її сесія.
Днями академісти завітали в Меморіальний музей-садибу гончарської родини Пошивайлів. Їхній зацікавленості не було меж: захоплювали форми посуду, глиняна іграшка, композиції, декоративний і зооморфний посуд, та найбільше вразила мальовка глиняних виробів Явдохи Пошивайло. Дивовижні квіти (конвалії, ромашки та інші), птахи й риби, ніби живі, – до них хочеться торкнутися руками. У гостей виникло непереборне бажання спробувати «виростити» квіти опішненської мальовки. На допомогу прийшла Олена Мороховець – гончарка, художниця творчої майстерні Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному, яка багато років поспіль проводить майстер-класи для відвідувачів. Пані Олена поділилася секретами мальовки глиняних виробів: докладно розповіла про приготування й використання ангобів, вдале розміщення контуру на формі, традиції опішненської орнаментики. Вона побажала учасникам натхнення й «вималювати» власний стиль і почерк.
Результат майстер-класу перевершив усі сподівання: кожен академіст вклав свою фантазію й часточку душі в оздоблення власноруч виготовленого на гончарному крузі виробу, відчувши особливу гордість своєї причетності до глинотворення.
