Наші пращури жили просто, але красу цінували й творили її власноруч. Невід’ємною прикрасою старовинної хати був мисник.
У хазяйновитих і охайних господарів на миснику завжди було багато красивого глиняного посуду, а порядок і гармонія його розміщення свідчили про культуру, рівень духовності родини.
У Меморіальному музеї-садибі гончарської родини Пошивайлів експонується композиція «Музею гончарства – 25». Це міні-мисник, на полицях якого, розміщено 25 мисочок-монеток, що символізують роки діяльності Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному.
Його автор – Юрко Пошивайло, заслужений працівник культури України, головний художник Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному. Гончарству вчився в батька – відомого спадкового гончаря Миколи Пошивайла. Кілька років тому Юрко почав створювати традиційну монетку, яку свого часу віртуозно виготовляв на гончарному крузі його дідусь Гаврило Пошивайло. Нині продовжує давні родинні традиції, виготовляючи прості й полив’яні мініатюрні копії класичних форм посуду. Роботи Юрка традиційними опішненськими орнаментами розмальовує дружина Світлана. Вона використовує техніки фляндрування й ріжкування. Кожна мисочка з композиції вражає барвистістю, жодна не повторюється.
У сучасних оселях стало модним влаштовувати етнокуточки. Проявивши свою фантазію, ви можете виготовити мисник з дерева або підручних матеріалів, а найкращу кераміку для нього придбати в Опішному.
