У кожного з нас є своє рідне гніздо, як у пташки. Те гніздо, в якому виростили і викохали нас батько і мати. І де б ми не були, та в думках, мов лелеки, линемо до батьківської оселі…
27 травня старійшина опішненського гончарства Микола Гаврилович Пошивайло святкував свій славний ювілей – 85-річчя. День видався сонячний і радісний. Зранку майстер завітав до батьківської хати – Меморіального музею-садиби гончарської родини Пошивайлів. З хвилюванням і сльозами на очах він пригадував своє дитинство, батьків, адже саме в батьківській оселі він уперше взяв до рук глину, що стала його долею.
Першими привітали Маестро з поважною датою учні Опішнянської спеціалізованої школи I-III ступенів та Державної спеціалізованої художньої школи-інтернату I-III ступенів «Колегіум мистецтв у Опішному» імені Василя Кричевського. Зустрічав Микола Гаврилович гостей на порозі батьківського будинку. Після спілкування з майстром діти взяли участь в експрес-конкурсі з малювання народної глиняної іграшки, потім з неабияким захопленням на майстер-класі від Маестро ліпили глиняну рибку. Микола Гаврилович відзначив усі дитячі роботи, подарувавши кожному учасникові книгу зі своїм автографом і побажаннями, та, за традицією, пригостив усіх солодощами.
