6 БЕРЕЗНЯ 2019 РОКУ МИНАЄ 109-та РІЧНИЦЯ ВІД ДНЯ НАРОДЖЕННЯ ЯВДОХИ ПОШИВАЙЛО – УКРАЇНСЬКОЇ ГОНЧАРКИ-МАЛЮВАЛЬНИЦІ, ФУНДАТОРКИ ПЕРШОГО ПРИВАТНОГО МУЗЕЮ ГОНЧАРСТВА В УКРАЇНІ

Явдоха Данилівна Пошивайло (Бородавка) народилася 6 березня 1910 року в Опішному, в родині селянина-середняка. Росла сиротою. З досить раннього віку ходила по наймах, де опановувала мальовку в майстернях заможних гончарів. 1929 року вийшла заміж за потомственого гончаря Гаврила Ничипоровича Пошивайла. Від середини 1930-х років працювала малювальницею в артілі, згодом – у заводі «Художній керамік», Опішнянському заводі «Керамік». Після виходу на заслужений відпочинок удома розмальовувала глиняні вироби свого чоловіка.
