Просимо підтримати юну опішнянку, ученицю Державної спеціалізованої художньої школи-інтернату І-ІІІ ступенів «Колегіум мистецтв у Опішному» Харченко Олену, яка стала півфіналістом конкурсу «Дудл для Google». Із сотень конкурсних малюнків у віковій групі 10-13 років журі конкурсу відібрало 5 кращих робіт, серед яких є і робота Лєни. Зараз дівчина змагається за вихід у фінал у своїй віковій категорії. Оскільки у конкурсі три вікові категорії, таких фіналістів буде три.

Олесь Пошивайло, засновник музею українського гончарства в Опішному, розповів про стосунки музею з суспільством, фігурки козаків та джерела музейних інновацій
Олесь Пошивайло – засновник і багаторічний директор Національного музею-заповідника українського гончарства в Опішному, директор Інституту керамології НАН України, доктор історичних наук і професор – цього року став першим лауреатом премії ім. Бориса Возницького. Ця премія є відзнакою за вагомий особистий внесок у розвиток музейної справи, відтепер її вручатимуть кожні два роки. Під час церемонії пан Пошивайло наголосив, що присвячувати себе музеям в Україні можуть лише подвижники, і що успіхом своїм він завдячує першокласній команді ентузіастів, які працюють разом з ним.
СІМЕЙНА СПРАВА
Музей кераміки – це абсолютно закономірно. В моєму роду всі, починаючи з другої половини XVIII століття, займалися гончарством. За історичним плином, я теж мав би стати гончарем, можливо, художником-керамістом. Збій відбувся завдяки бабусі. У 70-ті роки вона почала формувати домашній музей, щоб зберегти в Опішному вироби гончарів, з якими працювала все життя – а ще вишивку, ткацтво, дерев’яні вироби. До неї приїздили відвідувачі з усієї України і навіть з-за її меж. Я ріс у цій хаті й щодня ходив з бабусею на місцевий гончарний завод. Давній промисел цілком природно увійшов у моє життя. Бабуся заповіла продовжувати справу збереження: мовляв, Сашку, історія тобі не простить, якщо не зробиш в Опішному музею!

У березні 2013 року було засновано Премію імені Бориса Возницького «За вагомий особистий внесок урозвиток музейної справи», яка покликана підкреслити соціальну значущість музейної діяльності, сприяти консолідації професійної спільноти та надавати підтримку активним і талановитим музейним працівникам.
Першим лауреатом став нащадок гончарської династії Пошивайлів –Олесь Пошивайло, директор Інституту керамології – відділення Інституту народознавства НАН України, доктор історичних наук, професор, заслужений діяч науки і техніки України. Саме завдяки його сподвижницькій діяльності вперше в Україні створено Музей-заповідник українського гончарства, який отримав статус національного, Меморіальні музеї-садиби гончарської родини Пошивайлів, гончарки Олександри Селюченко, філософа й колекціонера опішненської кераміки Леоніда Сморжата сформовано найбільшу в країні колекцію кераміки, яка налічує майже 50 тисяч одиниць збереження. Та на цьому лауреат не збирається зупинятися – генерує нові ідеї і втілює їх у життя.
